Notable Achievements

“Over the past four months, we have recruited and engaged 84 participants from diverse backgrounds, including 39 Ukrainians, 19 Hong Kongers, and 26 Afghans. We conducted a variety of activities, including:

English for British Values and Culture in the UK Courses: We conducted six courses from April to June. These courses have been instrumental in improving the English proficiency of participants and enhancing their understanding of British values and culture. Improved language skills enable participants to communicate more effectively in their daily lives and better integrate into British society. Cultural understanding helps them navigate societal norms and expectations, leading to smoother adaptation and a greater sense of belonging.

Coffee and Board Game Day: Provided a relaxed setting for participants to practice their English, build friendships, and enhance their social networks.

Cultural Trip to York: Offered a deep dive into British history and culture, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of their new home.

Upcoming Events for PYP:
Including some volunteering workshop, more cultural trips and an online business concept course. These activities are designed to equip participants with practical skills and confidence to pursue personal and professional goals. Through these programs, participants gain valuable skills and experience in volunteering and entrepreneurship education, boosting their confidence and self-efficacy. This empowerment enables them to take proactive steps towards their future, whether in further education, employment, or community involvement.”
